Buy your Dream Home in Chicago, Illinois

Friday, April 11th, 2008

My husband and I just moved into a new house in the Gold Coast area of Chicago. We are thrilled not only with the house itself and the area it is in, but also with the deal we got on the house.

I was always under the impression that if I wanted to live in the Gold Coast we would have to shell out a fortune. Luckily this was not the case and now we are living in our ideal neighborhood. Our Chicago real estate agent was able to find a number of homes in the area that were selling for below the average Gold Coast price-range. Although we bought our home at a good price, it is not worth less than the houses around us that are similar in size.

Our home will appreciate in value with the rest of the neighborhood and we will be able to upgrade in a few years at practically no cost. Before you assume the area you wish to live in is out of your price range, visit www.realestateinchicagoil.com and talk to one of their agents.

Home Renovation in Chicago

Friday, April 4th, 2008

As a real estate agent in Chicago, it is important for me to occasionally review homes to get an approximate idea of what the current trends are. I need to know what is popular in the housing market i.e, what is going up for sale and selling fast. During my last review I noticed that many people are making the effort to rehab their homes before they put them on to the market.

While this seems to be a trend throughout the city, it seems to be even more common on the north side of Chicago. This is very convenient for clients looking to buy a home. It is especially appealing to those who are very busy and are looking for houses with a newer feeling or houses that require minimal work.

Houses on the north side are also significantly less pricy than those closer to Downtown Chicago. Buying a rehabbed home on the north side of Chicago seems to be the current deal. For more information, visit Realestate Agents In Chicago
